At the Head of the Valley

"Today I appoint you to stand up against nations and kingdoms. Some you must uproot and tear down, destroy and overthrow. Others you must build up and plant." (v10) Four negative words and two positive. There is a stark warning and an unpopular message (vs 17 - 19). However, the Lord is watching over. Jeremiah has a close personal relationship with the Lord:- v9 The Lord touches his lips. v5 A parent who knows him, even from before his mother's womb. v19 God presence will never forsake him. "For I am with you, and I will take care of you." v17 "Get up and prepare for action." A prod is needed. (Scripture Union notes). Are you ready? Get up and prepare for action.

"A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked." (Psalm 84:10 NTL)

v 9 "...Paul realised he (the man) had faith to be healed...." v 10 "....So Paul called to him in a loud voice, 'Stand up!' And the man jumped to his feet and started walking." v 22 "....returned....where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suller many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God." Wow!
