At the Head of the Valley

There was a lady vicar on BBC Breakfast programme the other day.  She was part of a discussion about Christmas.  For her, Christmas seemed to be about compassion for others, food banks, giving and receiving presents and the like.  Which is all well and good.  She did mention carol services. However, not once did she mention the real meaning of Christmas.  Jesus didn't seem to get a mention. This really is not good enough, especially from ministers in the church. Christmas is the time when we remember the birth of our Saviour  Jesus Christ.  God incarnate. God coming into the world. Praise the Lord.

Look at this:   The Lord ’s Commander Confronts Joshua 13  When Joshua was near the town of Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with sword in hand. Joshua went up to him and demanded, “Are you friend or foe?” 14  “Neither one,” he replied. “I am the commander of the Lord ’s army.” At this, Joshua fell with his face to the ground in reverence. “I am at your command,” Joshua said. “What do you want your servant to do?” 15  The commander of the Lord ’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did as he was told. Joshua 5: 13-15 NLT   Wow!   He (Joshua) fell on the ground. "I am your command"  -  "What do you want your servant to do?"   Lord, Lord I am at your command.   Notice: "And Joshua did as he was told."
